Oltre ad essere un grande chitarrista Jimy era anche un favoloso istrione. Io non ho mai creduto dentro di me che suonasse davvero coi denti. Non me ne vogliano i fans sfegatati di Jimy, questo non toglie nulla al suo virtuosismo ed alla sua geniale umanità. Cosi’ come nulla toglie o aggiunge alla sua storia il fatto che incendiasse una chitarra o per esempio che Jerry Lee Lewis suonasse il pianoforte con i piedi. Perché quando lo suonava con le mani era puro, inimitabile rock and roll.
